I teach 5th grade in Greenville, SC. The state requires that besides PE we
have a additional physical activity. Your CD is perfect. The kids laugh at the
crazy backgrounds no matter how many times they see them. They love to
do the same gestures you make between sets of exercises. They think the
world of you. Keep up the good work, man!

I did want to share with you a little success story with our kids from your
work on your website.  One of our third grade teachers uses your website
three times daily.  Our kids have to take tests three times per year to
measure reading, language arts and math scores.  She used Fit with
Fred before she took two of those tests and her scores rose 123 points
in language arts and 119 points in Math.  She did not get to do the
exercises before they took the reading test and they only rose 67 points.

the following website, or check out the book called "Spark" by
John Ratey MD.
If you have a success story, email Fred
and let him know.
My 2 and 4yr old
do fit with Fred
about every night.
 We do the one
on u-tube, then
the active one on
the web site and
cool down with the
relax one.  My son
will do exercises
randomly in the
house, and before
he wouldn't even
participate in P.E
at school.  This
has brought him
out of his shell.
We really have
enjoyed it.

Thanks Noel for posting this video!
Fred,
I teach a self contained special education class for kindergarten and first grade children with Autism,
Behavior Disorders, and other Developmental Delays.     We found you on you tube one day while
looking for movement activities that would interest our children.  They LOVE you!  We have since
downloaded some of your "freebies" from your website to do as part of our morning routine on the
SMARTBoard.  It amazes me how each and every child...no matter what their disability is...can and will
do your workouts every morning.  They just can't get enough of  you.   So,  today we have purchased
both of your DVDs and we can't wait until they get here.  We always do an end of the year performance
for our school and the families of the children in our classroom.  Your workout routines will definitely be
part of our end of the year performance...so the parents can see how much they can follow your
routines and have fun while exercising.   Thank you so much for creating these wonderful workouts!

Ticats Promote Active, Healthy Living in Schools Top

Students at the east Mountain’s Richard Beasley elementary had a chance to
teach players from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats a thing or two about fitness
recently.

About 130 students were thrilled at the opportunity to demonstrate their
school’s fun and engaging Daily Physical Education programme (DPA) –
called Fit with Fred – to members of Hamilton’s CFL team including Peter
Dyakowski and Chris Bauman.

Using technology to assist with exercise, large groups of students drawn from
across various grade levels vigorously improved their cardiovascular health
by mimicking the exercise patterns of a computer-generated character on a
projection screen.

It gave them a fun way to work up a sweat, to the tune of a high-energy
soundtrack. Ticat players joined in, after talking with students about healthy
lifestyle choices. The pro athletes discussed the importance of good eating,
daily exercise and the social benefits of getting exercise with peers. Ticats
also helped hand out healthy snacks the school gives students at nutrition
breaks to promote good health.

“It’s great to see our students so happy and enthusiastic about being active,
eating healthy and just having fun exercising”, says physical education
teacher Trevor Price. “And it’s great to see local community involvement that
encourages children to get out there and stay active.”

The visit was linked to Richard Beasley’s partnership with Hamilton Partners in
Nutrition, a partnership of community agencies and community members that
supports and facilitates local student nutrition programs.

It comes as the Ticats also visit many HWDSB schools as part of the BeFit
program that inspires students to eat nutritious breakfasts and be active.
Ticat players are serving breakfast to students all spring, and plan to visit 10
schools a month in 2010-11. They expect to reach 12,000 kids a year.
